Alan focuses his practice on professional liability defense, particularly in the defense of healthcare professionals in medical malpractice and general liability claims. In addition to defending medical practitioners, he also represents social services and volunteer and private emergency medical service providers.

Alan is also experienced in defending public entities and employees, including law enforcement professionals, in general and professional liability claims brought under state and federal law.

Leveraging his broad professional liability experience, Alan serves as monitoring counsel for national and local professional liability insurers, as well as local counsel to out-of-state Superintendents of Insurance as Rehabilitators and Ancillary Receivers.
