Ron concentrates his practice in the areas of land use, planning and zoning law, local government law, Mt. Laurel affordable housing, constitutional law and complex commercial real estate litigation. He represents both private and public clients, the latter including dozens of municipalities, planning boards, zoning boards of adjustment and authorities throughout New Jersey. He also has appeared before scores of local land use boards obtaining approvals for national and regional development and redevelopment projects. He regularly appears in both the trial and appellate courts as well as before state agencies.

In addition to his firm responsibilities, Ron is an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University, where he teaches local government and land use law, and also serves as a New Jersey Department of Community Affairs certified instructor, providing the mandatory land use education training required by the Municipal Land Use Law to planning and zoning board members in multiple municipalities.

Representative Cases

Successfully defended municipality in civil rights litigation pursuant to 42 U.S.C.A. Section 1983.
Successfully defended municipality in Open Public Meetings Act and Open Public Records Act litigation.
Successfully represented planning board in defending a preliminary redevelopment investigation pursuant to the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law.
Represented municipality in First Amendment Free Speech litigation.
Successfully represented multiple municipalities against builder's remedy actions as well as motions for scarce resource restraints pursuant to the Fair Housing Act.
Represented a national developer in builder's remedy litigation under the Fair Housing Act resulting in the award of 365 units.
Represented prominent regional developer in a builder's remedy action resulting in the approval of 184 units as well as the acquisition of water rights.
Represented prominent regional developer in a builder's remedy action resulting in a redevelopment plan permitting a 164-unit rental community.
Represented Fortune 500 oil company in acquiring municipal land use approvals and easement rights for a major regional terminal.
Represented one of the largest developers of Class "A" office space on the East Coast in complex commercial leasing litigation.
Drafted solar renewable energy ordinance for a large New Jersey municipality.
Represented multiple municipalities in the adoption of municipal master plans.
