Mr. Saferstein is a 2014 graduate of the University of Maryland, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. During college, he served as a legal intern to the Honorable George J. Silver for the Supreme Court, Civil Branch, New York County. Thereafter, Mr. Saferstein attended Seton Hall University School of Law.
During his time at Seton Hall, Mr. Saferstein served as a class senator on the student bar association and was also a member of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. While in law school Mr. Saferstein served as an intern for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New Jersey Division of Law and the Honorable Donald A. Kessler, J.S.C., in the Essex County vicinage of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division. In his final year at Seton Hall, Mr. Saferstein received the West Academic Publishing Company Commercial Law Award.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Saferstein served as law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Turula, J.S.C., in the Hudson County vicinage of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division.
Prior to joining Weiner Law Group, Mr. Saferstein specialized in litigation matters. He represented and advised clients in matters involving civil litigation with an emphasis in insurance defense, general and complex commercial litigation and employment law. In addition, he advised government clients on various issues including negotiating labor contracts and awarding public contracts.
