Matthew E. Gilson is an Associate of the firm and concentrates his practice primarily in redevelopment, land use and municipal law. Matt currently serves as counsel to both the North Arlington Zoning Board of Adjustments and the North Arlington Lyndhurst Joint Sewer Meeting. He has also served as the election law attorney handling disputed elections and ballot issues for the Bergen County Republican Organization including successfully removing an ineligible candidate from the ballot, obtaining a replacement candidate after the deadline for doing so following the death of the incumbent mayor, and winning a challenge to the 2020 Rochelle Park Township Committee election result.
In addition to his legal work, Matt is active in his community. For years, he has served as a youth sports coach and league coordinator. He has been recognized by Save Jersey as a “30 Under 30” political leader in the state of New Jersey and listed on InsiderNJ’s “100 Millennials in New Jersey Politics”.
Matt is a graduate of Rutgers Law School (J.D. 2016) and received his undergraduate degree in political science from Seton Hall University (B.A. 2013).
