Sean focuses his practice in the area of complex commercial litigation and creditors’ rights, as part of a Weiner Law Group team representing international, national, regional, and local businesses in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters before state and federal courts, as well as before arbitrational tribunals. The practice encompasses merger litigation, commercial litigation, business torts, corporate and partnership disputes, contract negotiation and review, banking and financial matters, creditors’ rights, restrictive covenants, intellectual property, governmental matters, Uniform Commercial Code, and construction disputes. Sean’s practice experience in particular encompasses a broad array of insolvency matters, including managing the bankruptcy department of the New Jersey office of a midsized regional firm, representing banks and other creditors. He also has represented borrowers and debtors in connection with loan modifications and other workouts. Mr. O’Brien had also worked in regulatory compliance for a subsidiary of American International Group which handled insurance premium finance lending.
