Matthew J. Pires joined Weiner Law Group, LLP in 2015 as an associate in the family law department. In addition to family law, Matthew has experience practicing in various areas of criminal and civil law.
Matthew’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, and an undergraduate degree in communications from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, Matthew focused on family, criminal and civil matters at a general litigation practice in Passaic County.
Matthew now primarily focuses his practice exclusively in the area of family law, attending to all aspects of a matter, including the drafting and filing of pleadings, negotiating and drafting agreements, attending hearings and arguing motions. Matthew has handled matters in all areas of family law, including, but not limited to, domestic violence, divorce, alimony, equitable distribution, custody, parenting time, and child support.
Matthew is admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the State of New Jersey. Matthew is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Matthew also serves as Pro Bono counsel for the Women’s Legal Advocacy Project (“BWLAP”), representing victims of domestic abuse.
