As a proficient New Jersey Divorce Attorney, I get questions all the time from clients regarding giving your spouse financial support. While your divorce case is pending, your spouse may need support from you. You typically are going to see this when one spouse has vacated the marital home. Perhaps it’s the wage earner; the wage earner has left the marital home, and now the dependent spouse is still in the home. He or she is going to need financial assistance – we call that spousal support – at the onset of the separation, and that amount will carry through until the final judgment of divorce is issued and the final alimony number is set.

Has your spouse asked you for financial support during the journey of divorce? Contact our professional New Jersey Divorce Attorney for guidance.
