Renée R. Russell, Esq. brings over 20 years of cumulative professional experiences in finance, law and real estate to holistically serve her clients at the Weiner Law Group, LLP.  She handles Family Law matters, addressing a myriad of issues including divorce, domestic violence, custody and visitation, child/spousal support, and equitable distribution, in addition to, Real Estate, and Wills, Trusts, & Estates matters.

Prior to joining the Weiner Law Group, Renée founded her own Real Estate Brokerage and Investment Firm, Renée Russell Residences, while also serving part-time as an Attorney and Mediator in private practice, and as a Mediator with the NYC Family Court Custody & Visitation Mediation Panel. A former Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s office and Former Pool Attorney with the NJ Office of Parental Representation, Renée leverages her intimate knowledge of the criminal justice system and its many parts to secure her clients’ rights and advance their interests, always ready and willing to take her cases to trial while exploring feasible and less painful alternatives. A former investment banker with Goldman Sachs, and corporate strategist with Time Warner, Renée applies her commitment to exceptional client service through effective communication, aggressive negotiation, creative problem solving and thorough execution in her tailored approach to each and every matter.

Renée earned her undergraduate degree at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and her juris doctorate at Howard University’s School of Law in Washington, D.C. With a genuine love for children, recognizing their innocence, need for protection and guidance, and the importance of nurturing their innate talents, she began her legal career with the intention to devote herself to promoting positive outcomes for underserved, inner city youth, having represented juveniles as a law clerk with the Public Defender Service of Washington D.C., as a student attorney with the criminal justice clinic, and as a Recipient of the ABA Judicial Clerkship and Certified Legal Intern with Miami’s Public Defender Office.

A consummate professional and devoted and hands-on mom, wife, daughter, and sister, Renée understands the adversarial system, and is sensitive to the emotional, psychological, and financial toll of divorce/separation/ family conflict. Her passion and compassion will guide you through the judicial process ensuring justice and seeking the optimal resolution for you and your family.
