Stanley W. Kallmann, Esq. received a B.A. from Rutgers University. He graduated from Rutgers Law School, where he was Projects Editor for the Rutgers Law Review. After graduation from law school, he clerked for two years for the Honorable James A. Coolahan, U.S.D.J., United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He was an associate of Stryker, Tams & Dill in Newark, New Jersey for two years before becoming an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey. He joined the firm, became a partner with Samuel A. Gennet, and was the firm’s senior partner for over 25 years. Mr. Kallmann has more than 50 years of trial experience specializing in commercial insurance and complex civil litigation in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, including insurance coverage, arson and insurance fraud investigations, first-party defense, and subrogation. He has been involved in many reported decisions in New York and New Jersey, including Culver v. Ins. Co. of North America, 115 N.J. 451; Aegis Ins. Services, Inc. v. City of New York, 2 A.D.3d 365, 768 N.Y.S.2d 825 (App. Div. 1st Dept. 2003); TWBC III, Inc. v. Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, 323 N.J. Super. 60; Bergman v. Indemnity Ins. Co. of North America, 275 A.D.2d 675, 713 N.Y.S.2d 531 (App. Div. 1st Dept. 2000); Tropic Pollo I Corp. v. National Specialty Insurance Company, 818 F.Supp.2d 559 (EDNY 2011); Richie’s Corner v. National Specialty Insurance Company, 598 F.Supp.2d 274 (EDNY 2008); and Canora Family, Inc. v. Universal Underwriters Insurance Company, 303 Fed. Appx. 914 (2d Cir. 2008).

Mr. Kallmann is a member of the New York Bar, the Bars of the federal courts of New York and New Jersey, the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, and the Bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second and Third Circuits. He has conducted seminars for the Property Loss Research Bureau, the Florida Windstorm Conference, and the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He has written and lectured extensively to industry groups on property insurance, subrogation, and appraisals under property insurance policies.
