Uncontested divorce means that you’re going in front of the judge and you’re not going to have a trial. You’re going to put forth an agreement that has been signed off and agreed to by both parties. In the State of New Jersey there are upwards of 97% of all divorce filings that settle themselves. This is sort of an average nationwide; most cases don’t go to a trial.
